The Credits: Game’s Strong Extension to E.M.N.A.T.

In December 2025, we got Gangsta Grillz: Every Movie Needs A Trailer, and toward the end of the month, it was said another mixtape was coming. We ended up not getting that at the time, but this was clearly that second drop: The Credits. Game, DJ Drama, and Mike & Keys bring us an extension to E.M.N.A.T., with another 11 tracks added that bring a lot of positives and a few less-needed moments.
Unlike most modern films, Game attached the credits to the beginning of this. So the extension is the first thing you hear if you’re coming back to it—which is something I’ve seen becoming more of a thing lately. This starts off really strong (outside of DJ Drama talking): “Whatever,” “Real” with 21 Savage, “Second Hand Smoke,” and “Art Basel” all kick things off with a bang. They have various moods, but all are strong tracks.
“Steffon Digg Her Out” is the first song I’m mixed on. As a Game fan, sometimes the songs aimed toward the ladies don’t hit for me as strongly. But it’s got a great beat, and Game doesn’t really disappoint with his raps very often. Still, it’s an interesting song with an interesting theme and title. The title refers back to a bar from YG in the Red Bull Spiral Cipher with Mozzy and Jay Rock—a shot at Offset via a Cardi B and Stefon Diggs mention. It’s something Game embraces with the title, song direction, and Cardi B clip at the end. I don’t think this is a direct shot, but it’s something that might ruffle some feathers potentially.
“Favorite” is similar to “Steffon Digg Her Out,” but I do think it’s more laid-back and generally a better song. “Tricks” is what I really like from a laid-back Game track—way more West Coast, and the type of beat Game can spit girl bars over that I can vibe to better. “Brick By Brick” is of course a standout, with Benny and Conway featured. I think Game and Conway specifically make for a great duo on tracks, and I wouldn’t be opposed to a collab EP or album.
This Credits extension finishes out cool with “You’s A Virgin,” “Something In The Water,” “Dead Hermes,” and “It Feels Like Heaven,” but these tracks weren’t particularly standouts either.
It’s funny—as a big Game fan, I definitely enjoyed this and Every Movie Needs A Trailer from last year. But I do think that if you’d cut 4 tracks or so from both and put them together, you’d have an elevated project overall. Still, nothing was bad, so at the end of the day, more good (and better) songs from your favorite artist isn’t something I’ll be mad at. I’m always ready for more Game, honestly.
