Album Review: G Perico & Steelz – Crip James

Reviewed By: Malik the Villain

This year the West Coast has put out nothing but straight heat and G Perico is one of the ones who’s been apart of the wave. Off rip you can tell the direction and sound of the project is about to go. Everything you want on in a west coast project is present here from the production, lyrics, and head bobbing ass hooks. One of my favorite things is the use of the samples (“Dance Wit Me”, “Give It To Me Baby”, “Superfreak”, – All by Rick James & “Ooo la la la” – Teena Marie) and the way its mashed well together that just give it that vibe and the regional sound that’s been missing in rap lately.

Overall this is another solid project by one of best rappers coming out of California G Perico and the production by Steelz, Hawky, Paparawome, Soldado, Bankroll Got It, IsThatTrey, BigmanBeats are all good and never missed to keep you saying “Gah Damn” every time the next song comes on.
