One of the best storytellers in all of rap, Maxo is giving you that Texas sound but is also a master of giving you some hits as well.
49. BRAT – Charli xcx

I mean, it’s hard to hate on a project this cohesive and creative. It’s fun and it’s got such a good sound. Definitely something for you to enjoy.
48. THJ Radio Vol. 1 – Ye Ali

Yeah, Ye Ali is the first person to make the list twice. That’s how fucking good he is. If you take a night time drive and play this project, you’ll understand why it’s so high on the list.
47. ERROR 404 – NASAAN

The Atlanta & Detroit influences are immaculate. Without actually telling you which legendary artist his pops is, appreciate his music first and you’ll see the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
46. TORI. – Tori Kelly

Upbeat pop, accompanied with a very established signer/songwriter and the vibes on this project are amazing. Definitely a great listen.
45. Saturn Dayz – BLACKSTARKIDS

As I pointed out on my review on TikTok, they’re talented as hell. They can rap, give you great instrumentation, their songwriting is great, they have a very unorthodox sound that allows them to stand out and it’s dope.
44. Spirit Box – Flying Lotus

43. Hella – 1999 Write the future

The collab features like Ghostface And Rich Brian and even Smino and Busta Rhymes really give you a unique listening experience.
42. Hit me Hard and Soft – Billie Eilish

I mean it’s Billie, she’s an amazing singer, she’s great with her production and the way she layers her tracks. Her vocals are top notch, I mean I could literally go all day.
41. INSANO – Kid Cudi

As a massive Kid Cudi fan, it brings be great pleasure to put this album on the list. Cudi managed to find a whole different pocket for this project and that deluxe version was special.
40. The Bricktionary – Boldy James

I mean, it’s not a top albums list without Boldy. While his album with conductor was nice, this album has a little extra umph that makes it a real solid listen.
39. Almighty SO 2 – Chief Keef

You wanna talk about a project worth the wait… man this shit is a slap from beginning to end!!!!
38. It’s Us Vol. 1 – Concrete Boys

It might be the only collab tape we get from them, but when I say everyone held their own here. This was an immaculate project from everyone but the MVP was definitely DC2trill.
37. Cadillac Leather in July – Dear Silas

This is one of those rappers you probably never heard of, and you’re wondering why he’s so high on the list… The man can rap and his flow is untouchable. Check it out cuz you’re missing out.
36. Eternal sunshine – Ariana Grande

The woman can sing and she has one of the best voices around. Her pacing within her projects is really impressive too. The cohesion is so strong and this is a very unique project as well.
35. Still Praying – Westside Gunn

The Album was almost perfect!!! That’s why it’s here! This is a classic. Period.
34. I Lay Down My Life For You – JPEGMAFIA

Peggy really is underrated as a producer but man can this dude spit. Honestly, it should be higher but that’s a testament to how great the other albums are.
33. Online Shoplifting – Chris Crack

One of the most creative minds in all of Hip Hop, this brother has given great bars, production and some of the greatest song titles ever.
32. Thief next to Jesus – KA

A true legend. Some of the best lyrical rap you’re gonna hear all year.
31. Alligator Bites Never Heal – Doechii

If this was your introduction to Doechii, you’re seeing how talented she actually is. According to me this is the 3rd best female rap album this year for sure. Doechii really has so many pockets she can get in and she is here to stay.
30. Right Place, Wrong Person – RM

Now this is how you perfect K-Pop but with your own twist. For those who don’t know RM, the leader of BTS, really was able to tap into his full creative potential on this album and it’s a great piece of work.
29. Why Lawd? – Nxworries

Anderson .Paak skills as a rapper is very underrated. We know the man can sing and has an excellent ear for production but that flow cannot go unnoticed. Knxwledge really is a great producer too. The way he adds so many different elements within the production is amazing.
28. Unsexy – Michael Christmas

When I saw Chris Crack as a feature on the intro track, I knew exactly what time we was on. And yeah, Michael Christmas is really one of them ones.
