Debí Tirar Más Fotos may be Bad Bunny’s best album to date and his most important. A follow up to “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar mañana” this album is completely different from the ladder as his previous album focused more on a trap oriented sound, while this one focused more on dance, salsa plena, jíbaro, reggaeton, and house theme throughout. I go on to say this album is important because of Bad Bunny calling out the gentrification that Puerto Rico is a facing discussing this songs like “LO QUE LE PASO HAWAII” and “TURISTA” with him not wanting us to loose our cultural identity like Hawaii and finishing off the album with “LA MuDANZA” thanking his Mai y Pai and reaffirming his love for Puerto Rico and with a great and bold statement claiming he’s not going anywhere.

To add on what makes this album important is that it’s a love letter and cultural influenced with Bad Bunny going back to his roots. To me, that is what makes this album his best and important one currently, with him making this a traditional Puerto Rican sounding album with different musical genres from the island. Songs like “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” being a salsa song, having an amazing rhythm and a vibe that gets you into a dancing mood. The Plena anthem “CAFé CON RON” a jíbara song rhythm calling out to his fellow Boricuas and “EL CLúB” a house fusión song that doesn’t fall short of amazing. This new era by Bad Bunny with the traditional Puerto Rican musical influences wouldn’t have been possible with Chuwi, Dei V, Omar Courtz, Pleneros de la Cresta, and Rising Superstar RaiNao. This is an amazing album one that I can resonate with because of my other heritage, making me appreciate my Caribbean roots and not wanting my island to suffer from gentrification. “DeBí TiRAR Màs FOTos” is beautiful album that celebrates the music of Puerto Rico that everyone loves and the joy it brings.
