Emotional Depth in Max McNown’s Latest Album
Reviewed By: Marquis “Southside_Gunn” Harris

This is an album that really is all about letting your emotions flow and really being vulnerable. With plenty of messages within the tracks, Max really goes all out with wearing his heart on his sleeve. Whether he’s speaking about his past, or the ends of a relationship, it’s something that makes your feel for him while also enjoying the song as a whole.
Vocally, this album is really good. There are so many time we get blank vocals for country music projects and this is definitely an exception as this project shows that there is a level of depth to the vocals beyond hitting just one note. Lyrically, again, very hard hitting emotions and with Hailey Whitters being the lone feature, it shows how impressive it is to carry an entire album by himself.
The instrumentals are very smooth, very quaint, and not as upbeat but more of a somber sound. The way the songs are crafted really show a level of detail that not most artists are able to craft. This is definitely worth a listen if you’re looking to get into country or if you’re already a fan.
