Busta Rhymes’ Latest EP: A Disappointing Return
Reviewed By: Marquis “Southside_Gunn” Harris

So this 6 track EP has really shown how while some legends can really hold their own and create some really great projects, some legends just fall short. Essentially that’s where we are with this project. Nobody is gonna say Busta can’t spit a solid 16, that’s just irresponsible. However, it’s irresponsible to think that he’s capable of putting together a full body of work and it not feel like a chore.
He starts off the project really giving some bars and it’s almost reminiscent to his prior work where he’s coming in and baring you up. About halfway through, the plot is lost because it became repetitive with no real way of keeping your attention and towards the end it felt like a completely different project.
The production wasn’t anything to write home about, that’s understandable because normally with Busta, you care more about the bars anyway. The beats could’ve been better and that’s truly being honest. At about 18 minutes, you’re left wondering why you’d even wasted your time because this project has no replay value and it feels like it could’ve been more but it wasn’t.
Project Rating: 👑👑 **(2.9/10)**
