Exploring the Sonic Depths of Pink Siifu’s New Release

Reviewed By: Marquis “Southside_Gunn” Harris

So, Pink Siifu has decided to drop this project on his birthday (January 29th), and it might be one of the most experimental and daring projects to date. If you’ve heard his music before, there were elements of trap, cloud rap, and more alternative styles in his previous projects, but here, he fully embraces the alternative rap genre and allows the production to flourish. He collaborates with a multitude of producers who create some truly unorthodox beats.

The level of instrumentation is very loud sonically and quite in-your-face. It can be overwhelming if you’re not accustomed to this sound, but it’s eye-opening due to its creativity. The beats are able to stand on their own, and the beat switches infuse the long tracks (because yes, some of them are quite lengthy) with new life.

Lyrically, this is significant because the tone has changed drastically compared to his last project. Overall, his performance, in terms of delivery and subject matter, is done exceptionally well. Each feature adds something unique, ensuring that no track feels the same.

Overall, the album is long, somewhat confusing, overwhelming, and loud, which may come off as a bloated mess to the average listener who might not be familiar with this style. On the other hand, if you set aside all expectations and listen to it for what it is, you’ll appreciate the creative genius that went into crafting this level of detail, which probably can’t be duplicated. It’s better than what you think. Trust me!
