Why KenTheMan’s Album Falls Flat
By: Marquis “Southside Gunn” Harris

The first thing I want you to do before you listen to this is grab a shot glass and your favorite liquor, and take a shot every time you hear the word “p***y.” KenTheMan is one of those artists who is going to talk her stuff regardless of how you feel about it, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, it kind of makes her one-dimensional.
The album features some notable samples and offers run-of-the-mill production with a southern sound that’s very heavy in bass at times but also smooth in certain aspects. The problem with this project is that it’s very repetitive both sonically and lyrically. The lyrics are quite typical for your standard female rapper, and there isn’t anything special about any of the tracks.
This album feels longer than it should be (pause). The overall direction is lacking, jumping from tough rap to bars about sex to the one melodic track… the overall message the project is sending gets lost in translation, making it feel boring to finish.
While KenTheMan’s confidence and attitude shine through, this album could benefit from more variety and depth. Offering a unique perspective or exploring different themes could elevate her artistry and keep the listener engaged. Right now, her talent is overshadowed by a formulaic approach that doesn’t quite capture the complexity of her potential.
