1900RUGRAT’s Gritty Debut Album

OK, I know you’re looking at this review like, “Who the heck is 1900RUGRAT?” Let me tell you—this guy is from Broward County, Florida, and when I say he is 100 percent authentic, trust me. This project has a real grittiness and toughness to it. Each of the beats is true to the Florida streets but also catchy in some instances.
Now, 20 tracks on your debut project might be a tad excessive, especially when a few tracks could have been omitted from the final project. There’s one thing I can say about it, though: some of these beats really do bump in the whip.
Lyrically, he’s not giving you top-tier metaphors, but he does have some solid one-liners that are hella catchy, funny in some instances, and very brash. Don’t worry—he’s not trying to say the n-word either; he uses “cracka” instead, and in a weird way, it flows smoothly.
What sets 1900RUGRAT apart is his ability to marry authenticity with accessibility. His delivery feels unapologetically raw, yet there’s an undeniable charm that makes you want to keep listening. It’s this juxtaposition that keeps the project engaging, as he navigates themes of hustle and everyday life in Florida, making it relatable while still maintaining a distinct edge.
With some solid features, catchy and tough raps, rugged and loud beats, and an overall style that is really different from most of his peers, it’s a recipe for a potentially good career.
