An appetizer from a 5 star chef

While it’s only 5 tracks, really 4 when you consider the intro track is just a one minute interlude, this project does exactly what it’s supposed to do… and that is showing off the artistry of someone who is deep in the culture. Einstein Kitchen is essentially a warm-up for the true meat of the project which is Goro, Davey Boy Smith, and Egypt. Each track has some really intricate production. The instrumentals are solid, and of course, you can’t forget the flows from Westside Gunn.
The synergy between Gunn and producers like Harry Fraud creates a hypnotic aura. Westside is able to ride these beats effortlessly, and the instrumentals blend greatly with his cadence. The tight-knit collaboration showcases a medley of styles, seamlessly merging vintage hip-hop influences with modern sensibilities, resulting in a sound that is both nostalgic and fresh. The attention to detail in the craftsmanship is evident, with each beat crafted to complement Gunn’s unique vocal delivery.
Now this project is fairly short, but when you do get to the end of it, you’ll want to run it back to catch all the slick bars and dope beats attached to them. This is very much a solid project, and it feels like this is the start of a new album run, but we’ll see when we get there.
