A Stunning Musical Journey

Yah-Ra continues to impress with her work on the LOVE WiNS EP. Her flows and lyrics are on point, the features are all strong, the production hits, and her vocals truly shine through on this project.

Things kick off with YaH’s iNTRO, a smooth and flowing track where Yah-Ra rides the beat as she rhymes. Next is “FOR THE SLABS,” a collaboration with Paul Wall that gets low and slow. “ACHiLLES” samples “Flashlight” and gives it that classic feel. And then, whew! Yah-Ra’s rendition of “MAKE iT WiTH YOU” blew me away. I knew she could sing, but that track kicked things up a notch in terms of skill level.

All the featured artists made sure to step up; I think Bruiser Wolf was my favorite feature, although The Musalini also delivered as expected. The production has range but maintains that laid-back West Coast vibe, which works well with Yah-Ra and her many performative styles.

This is a quick 10 tracks totaling around 30 minutes, but it provides a great sample of what Yah-Ra has to offer. However, don’t put her in a box—she’s not limited to what’s displayed here! I believe Yah-Ra has everything needed to make waves in the music industry; she just needs the right moment and timing to line up.
