The Yotes Deliver Again: “yoteLAndia” Solidifies Their Reign

Coyote delivers another amazing album in yoteLAndia, following up on 2024’s L.Aliens. As one of the quickest rising movements in Hip-Hop, the Yotes prove themselves once again! Like L.Aliens, this is a longer album, clocking in at just over an hour. One could argue it might benefit from being trimmed down, a thought I also had with their debut. However, just like that previous album, even the tracks that might seem expendable are genuinely good. The more I’ve delved into Coyote’s music, the more I appreciate the sheer volume of quality material rather than wishing anything were removed.
Right from “Sea Of Darkness,” I was hooked. The sample, the beat, the hook, and Ladies Love Guapo and Ricky Blanco all immediately hit their stride, true to form. “sLAng” was an amazing single I’d been listening to for a while before the album dropped. “Runnin All Fades,” “Goon,” and “L.A Verses Everybody” were all favorites. Even “Not Done Yet,” a single I initially had mixed feelings about, I now truly appreciate, especially within the context of the full album. It offers a fun moment to relax and bop amidst all the intense bars and aggression, which is precisely why I love Coyote.
This duo is arguably the best active duo I can think of, and yoteLAndia is another golden link in the chain of their discography. These artists infuse culture, character, and charisma into their music and consistently release amazing work.
