Album Review – Norman Sann – My Take On This

High Energy Bops

A hip-hop artist surrounded by multiple microphones in a dark setting, creating an atmosphere of intensity and focus.

When Norman Sann drops, I tune in. A front runner when it comes to high quality, original Hip-Hop. My Take On This is Norman’s 2nd release so far this year and like all my favorite artists, I’ll take anything and everything I can get!

Clocking in at just under 20 minutes, Norman Sann wastes no time here. Right away from the single Kick In The Door, the beats hit hard, the flows are all over and he’s spitting lyrics that are more than ankle deep. And that’s the tip of the iceberg.

Ditty Ditty Dum Dum, Unbothered and Mosh that follow all continue that original high energy, and it feels like a blizzard of strikes from this Hip-Hop black-belt. Ugh, Move Ya Body and I Can Get You To Move all continue to slap through the rest of the EP. Norman’s production choices on this are amazing, no matter the theme of the track Norman will get you moving.

Norman Sann is one of the most unique and original MCs out today. The man’s wit and ability to jump into and around with so many flows is crazy and he’s not compromising his lyrics or content to do any of it. He lets people watch him create on Twitch and the kind of song remixes he performs live is crazy. Not all that is related to the album but I say that to say this man is a rapping and artistic machine and My Take On This is a gem in the crown of his young and growing discography.

Standout Tracks : Ditty Ditty Dum Dum, Ugh. Move Ya Body
