Forging his Blade

Boobie has been working on his craft, finding his sound, being more lyrical and also finding a way to tell his story in ways that allow him to showcase his talent. In this project, he does exactly that. There have been times when I’ve had conversations with artists and they let me know they are working on things and that’s exactly what I was told. More so, I see the improvement.

Within this project you’re going to get some very sound and clean production with some nice bass kicks, gritty sound and catchy hooks. Boobie has done well with getting that “tuff” sound perfected within this project. Lyrically, he’s done better with improving his storytelling as well as being able to craft some nice bars that may not be as appreciated as much.

It’s a very inspiring thing to see an artist apply criticisms to become better. The true testament of character is being able to reflect on your artistic vulnerabilities and attack them head on. The fact that Boobie is making such strides with his music shows how serious and passionate he is about his craft. The future looks very bright if he maintains this trajectory. As listeners, that’s all we need to remain interested.

The project is nice with some good replay value. There are some spots where you feel like certain sounds or bars could be changed to make the songs more entertaining, but that’s more of a nitpicking aspect than anything. This is a solid project and hopefully this leads to a newly crafted album which will be the test of the true improvement. But for now, let’s enjoy this solid effort.
