Before diving into my thoughts, a big shoutout to The Culture Decides for the collaboration on this review! It’s crazy that it’s been 16 years since the last Clipse album. I’m a big Clipse fan and an even bigger Pusha T fan. Earlier this year, I reviewed all of Pusha’s main discography, including the Clipse albums and all his solo work. So, this album was very welcome, with Pusha and his brother No Malice back together at last.

What’s understood doesn’t need to be explained, and this is a great album. Immediately, with “The Birds Don’t Sing,” things start strong. The song about the duo’s parents hits hard for most, I think. Then it gets dark and gritty with “Chains & Whips” and “P.O.V.” Both Kendrick and Tyler were great features, even though I’m not always a Tyler fan. He knows to be on his A-game for his heroes, the Clipse. Next up are “So Be It” and “Ace Trumpets,” the crazy singles from the album. That’s an impressive track run right there.

My main worry going into this was admittedly Pharrell’s production. Anyone who read my Pusha T discography reviews knows I’m somewhat mixed on some of Pharrell’s beats, but he kept the majority of this album very dark—exactly what the 2025 Clipse needed.

Without going too long here, this is an excellent album. I think it can stand with the best of their albums, possibly their second best? I won’t call it just yet, but right now it’s feeling that way. Hip-hop feels stronger when this pair of brothers is together and creating.

Standout Tracks: “So Be It,” “M.T.B.T.T.F.,” “F.I.C.O.,” “All Things Considered,” “Chains & Whips”
