Album Review: La Reezy & PJ Morton – Pardon Me, I’m Different

Journey to Sonic Sophistication

La Reezy impressed me when I recently tuned into Welcome To La Reezyana, Vol. 1. So when I saw he was dropping new music soon after I finished my review of the impressive La Reezyana, I knew I had to check in immediately.

Pardon Me, I’m Different is a more serious, focused, and polished project than his last. This feels like the direction La Reezy should generally be heading toward. It’s a short, condensed project, but it is focused and to the point.

La Reezy feels leveled up even in just the 3-4 months since his last project. With production handled by PJ Morton, there are some great beats on this one. Some of my favorite tracks are “Reason,” “BABY,” “For The Mind,” and “Achoo,” but really, in this 20-minute project, there are no skips.

La Reezy continues to impress and earn all the accolades and hype he has received. He’s growing as an artist, not being stubborn about doing everything by or for himself, and the grind is paying off all around. I won’t be surprised when La Reezy starts making huge waves and moves in hip-hop.

Standout Tracks: “Reason,” “BABY,” “For The Mind,” and “Achoo”
