Full Tank of Jet Fuel

I swear, ever since the minor drama this year, Curren$y has shifted into a higher gear—one that me and real Curren$y fans know he can and does do more than people think. But it seems he’s determined to remind everyone exactly the heights this jet can reach. And I’m here for it.
This is fully produced by KinoBeats, and he did a great job with the mood but also the variety. Starting with “Doves Cry,” it feels like it could fit right in with Covert Coup to me, which has always been possibly my favorite Curren$y project. So I love that to start. Things get more laid-back with “Top Down,” which adds up. And then “The Professional” and “JetLife Got The Power.” In this 16-minute project, there’s a good job of blending an old mafia movie feel with the laid-back & lounging weed feel. This whole thing feels like a movie soundtrack.
“Another Benz” is good, although maybe toward the bottom of my favorite tracks here. And “Paid In Full” is good too, but I wasn’t that into Ydtheillest’s verse on it personally. But I really liked “F@ckisudoin J.O.B. Pt. 2”—a great vibe track and a great part 2 to the original.
I’ve listened to enough 16- or so-minute projects to know a good one versus a mediocre or bad one. Good ones fly by and you run them back. Mediocre ones feel like 30 minutes, and bad ones feel like an hour. This is a great one. A few blinks and the 16 minutes had passed me by.
Curren$y seems to be starting up a run of heaters, so fans better strap in and get ready for the upcoming bombardment. Personally, I’ve been waiting for this to start all year, so I’m ready and excited for more Spitta as the year ends—especially when he’s in this upper gear that Curren$y skeptics need to take note of.
