F#$% YA LYFE!

You don’t know how hyped I was when I first reacted to “First48” and learned a new album was not only on the way, but right around the corner. Well, that corner is finally here, and I’m pumped for another project from NEMS to rock!

On I SHOULD BOOM YOU, NEMS links up with the legend himself, Ron Browz. I’ve known Ron Browz mostly for his production, but on this album, he’s stepping on the mic side-by-side with NEMS, chopping it up for real. The opener, “America’s Sweetheart” (also known as “Hottest in America”), sets the tone perfectly. NEMS and Ron Browz trade bars back and forth, and I love that energy. Trading full verses is cool, but going bar-for-bar—four lines at a time—adds something extra special and keeps the chemistry popping.

NEMS continues his impressive track record of pulling legendary features that absolutely smoke their tracks, like Lil Fame on “Earl Manigault” and Papoose on “Here I Go.” Very few modern rappers are locking in with real legends the way Nems does, and he always picks the right MCs to stand next to.

While “First48” and “Kruger” are both strong records, “P Anthem” is one I have to highlight. NEMS brings that signature aggression and raw energy, yet he still sounds completely authentic and fits the vibe of the song perfectly. The same goes for the next track, “Nothing Gon’ Stop Me.” A lot of people try to box Nems into one lane, but if you actually listen, he dives into more personal topics and introspective bars than he gets credit for.

Ron Browz came through with hard-hitting, soulful production throughout the project and also brought his own sharp rhymes to stand tall next to one of my favorite MCs in the game.

Overall, I really enjoyed this album and the variety of vibes it delivered in a short, concise package—all while keeping the exact feeling and authenticity that made me a NEMS fan in the first place. Ron Browz proved in 2026 that he’s still bringing heat, and he showed me he can definitely hold his own on the microphone too. That’s something I’ll definitely be looking more into.

If you’re not running this back, NEMS might have to F’N BOOM YOU. FYL!
