With so much new music dropping every week, we simply don’t have the time to write a massive, deep-dive review for every single project—but we still want to talk about what we’re listening to! This new bite-sized segment cuts straight to the chase for albums and EPs that we couldn’t give a full write-up. We are stripping away the fluff and giving you the rapid-fire highlights: the spins (what we loved), the skips (what we didn’t), and the final score so you know exactly what deserves a spot in your rotation.

💿 Quick Spinz: Payroll Giovanni – Minding My Own Business

(Released August 21,2026)

👍 What We Liked (The Spins):

• 🏙️ Classic Street Anthems: Delivers exactly what you’d expect with gritty, authentic street anthems.
• 💸 Hustler Motivation: Payroll stays incredibly consistent, bringing that signature “doughboy” motivation music.
• 🚗 Detroit Flavor: If you are a fan of that distinct Detroit sound and bounce, this project is very much up your alley.

👎 What We Disliked (The Skips):

• 🔁 Repetitive Production: The beats begin to blend together, making the overall production feel very similar throughout.
• 🥱 Redundant Themes: The subject matter retreads familiar ground without adding a fresh perspective.
• 🛑 Nothing New: Overall, there just isn’t anything here to separate this project from his previous releases.

💿 Quick Spinz: Starlito – Its Strict Over Here

(Released August 4, 2026)

👍 What We Liked (The Spins):

• 📼 Nostalgic Mixtape Energy: The whole project gives off that classic, old-school mixtape feel.
• ✍️ Lyrically Solid: Starlito delivers his usual sharp pen game—he is consistently solid on the mic here.
• 🔥 Dope Flips & Features: Features some great sample flips (including nods to Lil Wayne and The Diplomats) and strong guest spots, especially from the underrated Trapperman Dale and Young Buck.

👎 What We Disliked (The Skips):

• 🐢 Too Slow & Laggy: There are way too many slow tracks, making the overall pacing drag. If this was cut down to a 12-track project, it would be much stronger.
• 🧩 Lacking Focus: It feels like a collection of “songs for the sake of songs” without a cohesive direction or theme.
• 📉 Rough Hooks & Chemistry: There is a genuinely depressing stretch of songs near the end, a few horrendous hooks, and the overabundance of melancholy tracks which missed the mark for us.

💿 Quick Spinz: Niceymost – 4Everdat

(Released August 7, 2026)

👍 What We Liked (The Spins):

• ⚡ Infectious Energy: Packed with feel-good, positive vibes from start to finish.
• 🔥 Stepped-Up Pen Game: Niceymost definitely leveled up the bars for this project!
• 🪩 Catchy Anthems: Includes some seriously catchy songs that will get stuck in your head (especially “4Everdat” and “Awake”).

👎 What We Disliked (The Skips):

• ⏱️ Over Too Soon: Clocking in at just 19 minutes with 8 tracks, it leaves you wanting more and feels more like an EP.
• 🎣 Basic Hooks: Some of the choruses were a bit too simplistic—we’d love to see Nicey bring in some dedicated hook writers next time.
• 🛑 Out-of-Place Track: The “Strip Club Joint” threw off the project’s vibe, and the hook just didn’t land for us.
