Sayzee delivers an all-gas, self-produced masterclass in the standout Halloween release of the year.

Released October 19, 2026

Sayzee has been putting in the kind of work in 2025 and 2026 that put him on my Rising Stars list for the year. I stay flooded with music, but when an artist like Sayzee gives me an early listen to something, I make sure I get it into my rotation ASAP. That’s the case with Your Favorite Rappers Worst Nightmare 11 (YFRWN11), the 11th release in this ongoing Halloween series!

If you’re familiar with Sayzee, you won’t be surprised to hear that this is fully produced by the man himself—one of the best artists who both produces and raps, in my opinion. The samples Sayzee gets into across this whole album are dope, and it all starts with “KILLMATIC.” Sayzee is one of the upper-echelon bar breakers I know, and YFRWN11 is all gas, no brakes, which is what I love about Sayzee. Even though YFRWN11 has a Halloween theme, lyrically it isn’t strictly sticking to that, which I think is good for a full-length project. It isn’t locked into a box lyrically, even with a theme, and Sayzee hits the marks for it.

The project is full of MCs who are similarly high caliber to Sayzee. Thankfully, because anything less couldn’t stand. Artists like Asun Eastwood, Jamal Gasol, Shottie, MONEY MOGLY, Action Gugure 973, and Lord Juco, to name a few, are featured here. Like many Sayzee albums, this is skipless, but some of my favorite songs on YFRWN11 are “STATIC,” “SPACE NEEDLES,” “BASIC MATH,” and “SWAP OUT THE BLADE.” But the end of the album, from “BARBARA” to “DON’S GUNS,” is my favorite run of tracks.

It’s no surprise to me at this point that I loved Your Favorite Rappers Worst Nightmare 11. I don’t select the Rising Stars lightly, and this is the type of work that needs to be put out at least semi-consistently to be considered. So far, this is the top Halloween-themed project I’ve heard this year, and it’s one that’ll be tough to top. Out now exclusively on Bandcamp—go support!
